Due to fluctuations in power in your home or business, electronics can sometimes lock up. Just like a computer, your equipment may need to be "rebooted/restarted".
No matter what was installed - security, audio/video, telephone systems, lighting, etc., these systems may be subject to system lock up. Simply shut down the system by removing power (unplugging from the wall works best), waiting for 60 seconds, and then plugging the system back in. All of our systems have "powerless memory".
